Let me introduce myself.  I am a single mother of three awesome kids.  My oldest daughter is a Phd student at East Carolina University studying molecular cell biology, while my son is beginning his first year of medical school at PCOM in Atlanta.  My youngest daughter is beginning her senior year in high school.

      I have lived in New Mexico where I received my Criminal Justice degree, Northern California where I grew up, and Florida were I lived when very young.  North Carolina has been my home since 1994.

     I have been in the classroom in different capacities for twelve years and this is my third year with T.M.S.A..  My experience involves being a teacher assistant, a substitute teacher, a 3rd grade teacher, and importantly a parent of three students.  I strongly believe in open lines of communication between myself and my students' families.  I am using a program called, "Classroom Dojo" which is available as an app or online.  I use a positive discipline approach, and this app not only encourages your children, it allows them to witness real-time parent-teacher communication.  You will have the opportunity to receive pictures and video of your child from me during the school day.

     This is going to be a fantastic year of learning, exploring, questioning, and experimenting.  We will experience new firsts,  form friendships,  learn patience, practice kindness, embrace our differences, and grow as a classroom community.
